To all the people who are in the firing line of Tropical Cyclone Alfred as it tracks towards the south-east Queensland and northern NSW coast please take care.

Thanks Jen, I just wish it would hurry up. We are supposed to fly out Monday for Japan via Sydney.

Well the radio tells me it is Ex-tropical cyclone Alfred. Winds to 85 kilometres per hour, still heavy rain. In the process of crossing the coast, expected to be on the Darling Downs tomorrow.
200,000 houses without power including a friend on the Gold Coast and my daughter at Wynnum.

Stay safe guys. Even if the winds have dropped, it can still cause havoc.
