Why do you collect?

Dear Members,

You've probably been aasked this question countless times either by family, friends or here on this very
Forum. Why do you collect?

I don't have a clear answer for myself YET but am working on several including heritage,posterity giving,artistic representation
among a number of reasons.

I have continued to collect coins from all over the world. Not sure why. Maybe it's because of the wonderful designs and the history behind them, maybe I'm a little OCD, who knows. My collection now exceed 20,000 different coins. Maybe soon I will have to stop, and start selling them, to pay the mortgage off, as I go into retirement.

That's a wonderful coin collection.Leaves me gasping at it's immensity!!
Yes, I have a small Euro coin collection (Cyprus and the Vatican rare as hen's teeth to find)
and a small UK pre decimal collection inherited from a coin loving father.

Cyprus is not so bad, but Vatican is a lot harder for sure.
