I saw Max and the Meteors several times, would have been late 60s/early 70s. No stage sets or light shows; no fancy costumes or fog machines. Just a group of guys producing immaculate soul and blues music.
Wonderful.

Fanny Mae is one of my favourites. Here is a clip from that era.

Our local radio station plays 60's and 70's songs all afternoon. I can't remember hearing one of Helen Reddys though. I bet that will be rectified today.

Yes I'm surprised 4KQ hasn't been all over Helen's death as well.
I didn't even know she had dementia and was in an aged care facility.

That is about 4 minutes I won't get back, but the 3D Felix was interesting. Shame I don't have the 3D glasses to try it out.

4KQ was doing people we lost in 2020 the other day. Sooo many.

Phil Spector died (in prison) two days ago, aged 81. After he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 it was all downhill for him.
