..... ooooohhhhhh ...... I like, but similar to Pedro my funding falls short. My neighbour (52 or so years ago ...... yeah I was little .....)  bought one the same colour, black interior etc ..... the first 4 on the floor I'd ever seen. Spoke to him years and years later ..... he wished he'd kept it.

I wish I'd kept my XY too. No a HO, just a V8 Fairmont. Would have been worth a few bucks now though.
I owned it for 19 years.

There are a few cars I wished I had stored away. Not in the same league as that one but would have been better than money in the bank.
Hindsight is a wonderful tool!

Was my V8 Fairmont ..... gave it to my son for his 21st ..... he still has it. It's now the logo for his business (mechanic :-) )

Hi Uni,
My son, also a mechanic, has a thing about XE Falcons. I showed him your picture and he declared it very neat.
He has several XEs -sedans, ute, wagon- but none registered at present.
He did buy a very nice Fairmont S pack some years back, replace the 302 with a hotted up 351 and the auto with a Supra 5 speed. Took him about a week to turn the gearbox input shaft into a replica of a corkscrew! It is sitting in my carport and "will get it back on the road one day". Kept original and cared for it would still be a nice car and probably worth a few dollars.

My Hilux radiator has sprung a few tiny leaks lately. Easy to solder up, old style copper/brass unit, but when a 28 year old radiator starts doing that time for replacement. Had to chase around to find the right one; three different outlet pipe configurations on that model and not interchangeable. Most suppliers only have one or two types and not the same as mine.
I found the right one, Supercheap will get one in on special order for $848 and a couple of places around the $500 mark.
Then I found a radiator specialist with one in stock in Sydney at a very good price. Ordered Wednesday afternoon and received it Friday morning first thing. From my dealing with them I am happy to recommend them. They have branches in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
