1938 crown grade?

What is the cost of grading these days?

It depends on if you are a member and do it yourself or if you use a third party who handles your submission like Imperial in Brisbane does. It also depends on which third party grader you use. PCGS or ANACS. There is another one that is acceptable. ICG perhaps?
Generally it is cheaper the more you do at the same time.

Did you ever get your 1938 crown graded Jeff?

I've sent off a couple of 1927 Canberra florins to get graded late last month that I won't see again till late February or March depending on how busy they are. Cost me $84 iirc for two coins. I would have liked to send off 20 to 40 coins and banknotes but don't currently have the cash to commit to it.

Nice coin Jeff, If it is my coin, I would get it graded.

I know someone had one of them graded, similar to this one and reported back to me that a decent grade was obtained.
I think that was you ausproofs? If so remind me again of the grade -my memory is not as good as it used to be.

Thanks for the info Gweidion, I have a fairly nice one, but with a bag mark on the cheek. If I wanted to get a coin slabbed I guess I would use the purple penny which is in my neighborhood.

I would say it is more just luck than anything else Jeff. I thought all coins that were on offer were decent/honest coins.
