2013 Polar Bear Coloured 1 Dollar $1 Polar Animals Series - purplepennyhunter - 07-08-2013 Coloured Polar Bear Dollar RE: 2013 Polar Bear Coloured 1 Dollar $1 Polar Animals Series - Goldseeker - 07-08-2013 I WAS GOING TO DO AN ADVERSE COMMENT ON THE ABOVE SCAN BUT I HAVE JUST ENLARGED MY OWN SCAN OF THE COIN IN THE FOLDER AND I ENDED UP PRECISELY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE POSTED. IT IS A PITY AS I THINK THE DESIGN(S) ARE REALLY GOOD. RE: 2013 Polar Bear Coloured 1 Dollar $1 Polar Animals Series - trout - 07-08-2013 These are only a small coin and it would be almost impossible to get that much detail perfectly. I am not at all dissapointed with this years pad printed coins. The finish and the way these coins have been cared for are a step in front of most of the other NCLT issues this year No nasty rim dings or factory floor contact with these RE: 2013 Polar Bear Coloured 1 Dollar $1 Polar Animals Series - purplepennyhunter - 08-08-2013 When Robbie and I visited the Mint last year they showed us these in the proof room. They are specially prepared so should be of higher quality. I think the pad printing process lets them down. I agree, If they did the design in proof with NO colour I think it would look better But there would be the end of the coloured issues to collect |
