2015 Mint set 50 cents view - 6eor6e6 - 30-11-2014 Hi, is there a purpose for the dot bubbles that cover the 50 cent coin ? I probably shouldnt have a opinion, its stupid. George RE: 2015 Mint set 50 cents view - Goldseeker - 30-11-2014 Yes there is. It is supposed to represent a sheet of metal/strip of metal AFTER the blanks have been punched out. (I think). I think it is a beautiful piece of imagination. From the RAM's Site : "This celebratory set features a modern 50c coin design with its signature dodecagon shape arranged into a ‘honeycomb’ design, symbolising the industrious hive of the Royal Australian Mint." https://eshop.ramint.gov.au/2015-Uncirculated-Year-Set/310402.aspx RE: 2015 Mint set 50 cents view - 6eor6e6 - 30-11-2014 You can hardly see the coin, for the doted packaging is what annoyed me about it. Sorry I didnt explain that initially. It was the packaging not the coin itself I refer to. George PS I only wish I could enjoy the coin itself. |
