1. The VC is well known throughout the Commonwealth and many an ex serviceman now resides in Australia and the design is straight out of the manual; and
2. The packaging is well designed and manufactured.
Now, what is the VC coin worth WITHOUT the packaging.
Another relatively cheap issue was the Barcelona $1 coin. It was the same coin that was put into a special packaging to promote "Women In Sport". They sold for a measly amount and now fetch a price of $175.00 plus.
Packaging my dear fellow collectors, packaging.
A large percentage of RAM packaging contains PVC and is detrimental to the coins well being, all the PNC issues come in a PVC envelope
so your choices are ;
1 keep the coin in its original packaging to retain value and eventually ruin the coin.
2 Remove the coin from the packaging and store it in a no PVC environment to preserve the integrity of the coin.
Aim well to enjoy life. You only get One shot at it.
