Well the Royal Australian Mint has a newly released coin for the newly released Prince George. Unless you've been stranded on a desert island you probably know that Prince George is the son of Wills and Kate, and now the third in line for the throne of jolly old England! It's not a bad looking coin and no doubt will be popular.

Interestingly the coin rated a mention on the nightly news in Adelaide tonight. This is at least the third time this year I can recall a coin being in the news. Surely a good news year for coin collectors!

Yep it got a mention of 7 news in Sydney also - well at least the $80 silver version did.
