I also got one from the bank recently. I still find it hard to believe the note is already 6 years old but still brand new.

Yes lacey I find it amazing both coins and notes can be around for so long and you can still find good one's in the pond but then on the other hand I come across so many things that are RS now like my first 2012 $5 yeterday that looked like someone had used it as toilet paper..a new note trashed and same as some coins..it's all very strange but than so am I

My mate who works at Bankwest had a customer deposit a 'grey ghost' $100 note and he managed to get it for me, my first one!!

I read something interesting the other day.  Apparently the RAM has stock piles of coins and when more are needed they release some of those coins, no matter what the date is.  I have no idea if that's true but.......

Well they did with the 1983-84 20 cent coins.

Hm, good point. Still, maybe there's more to the whole 1983 and 1984 20c story - after all, why melt all those good coins and then make more in 1985? Maybe they'd already been delivered to the Reserve Bank.

I am not really a note collector but have a few that I bought at CV -75% a couple of years ago.
Now worth Face Value +10%!!
Have recently been checking note numbers and have come across $50.

I'm in England at the moment and I changed back some pounds to get $1240 in sequential $20 notes. They were all AD 08 100 xxx serials but unfortunately no radars. Also got $220 in sequential $10 notes DC 08 848 xxx but no radars either.

I was lucky enough to get this in change today from the fruit market.
Now there is nothing special apart from the fact that it's an 1993 note
I have not seen any of these for quite a while in fact I had given up finding any more of them.

It will go nicely with it's cousins.

As you can see this one is quite good, I hang on to them all.
I must have every shade of blue to grey.
 They were my favourite note.

I got a 1997 $10 recently - it had seen a bit of use and had some texta pen on it but not too bad considering it's 26 years old.
I'll hang on to it.

I got a BK 94 $20 note from an ATM a few weeks ago but let it go. Then today I got a PD 94 $20 note from a family member's change - not quite a PE 94 but as close as I'll get most likely.
