I havnt read the article, but I do remember he got the import rules changes. He paid a small fortune to have an Alpha restored.

I think you mean "Alfa" But it was a Lancia he had restored. He did have some Alfas too.
He also ditched Gough's Mercedes and adopted a Holden Statesman.

It is stated so often on the internet that Lucas hold the patent for short circuits it must be true!
